IBM is releasing their smallest desktop PC yet, the ThinkCentre S50 Ultra Small, a somewhat goofy-looking yet strangely attractive black machine the easily fits under one of IBM's LCD monitors, powered by a Pentium 4. The ThinkCentre isn't designed for enthusiests, obviously, instead aimed at business customers or small office clients who need a relatively-powerful but quiet machine with a small footprint (8 percent smaller than the ThinkPad T41 footprint, even). Short cuts have been taken to get the chasis down to this size, including a single PCI slot for upgrades and no wireless options (although a gigabit Ethernet port is standard).
