This is a wee bit crusty, but I missed it last week: Skype has apparently teamed up with i-Mate (one of the companies that rebrands and resells products from HTC) to sell Pocket PC smartphones pre-loaded with the VoIP software. Each unit will also, of course, have Wi-Fi built in. That's great news in a general sense (I think everything with Wi-Fi should come with some VoIP software), but would be even better news if Skype announced some way to seamlessly hand off/take over calls made on the phone portion of the smartphone. That's going to take a little longer, it seems.
We should be hearing more about these phones this week at the 3GSM show in Cannes.
