Dualing Laptop Screens

At $4995, this new dual-screen, wireless-capable, dual-screen computer may not be the most accessible piece of equipment around, but we can't say it's not a fascinating idea. Harrisburg, PA company Estari—Atari was taken—has developed this mobile computer for those of us who constantly look at more than one screen at a time. With the 2-VU Dual-Screen Mobile Computer, you'll be able to look at any two documents side-by-side in the same or different applications. The screens themselves are integrated with mini PCI Type III slots for wireless, a CompactFlash card slot, internal speaker and headphone jack, internal microphone, a wireless LAN (802.11b/g) antenna and run Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000 Professional. Ergonomically, the company says the 2-VU is superior because of its reading, handwriting, keypad, and keyboard interface. And rounding it out is a 933MHz Intel Pentium III Ultra Low Voltage Processor M, a 40GB hard disk drive (upgradable to 80GB), 512MB of memory, and an nVidia GeForce 4 440 Go chip with 64MB of dedicated memory.
