    DIY iPod Bicycle Charger

Maybe I'm a little bit too Midwestern, but I don t know any reason why someone would be using an iPod on a bike for more than seven hours a day, but it seems Mark Hoekstra thinks he will and he is going to be prepared for his iPod battery depletion by designing a charger that is powered by a bike. He used a hand-cranked iPod charger that he previously designed, added on a bike dynamo, and about 3 billion steps/tests later, he had a fully-functional iPod charger and light powered by his bike. As a forewarning, you will probably need at least a little bit of electrical know-how before tackling this project for your Huffy.
