Ever been sick of not finding the right color washing machine that matches your other household gadgets? The Japanese home electronic shop chain Kojima is out to fix that problem with a series of home electronics called Fresh Gray 2006. The whole series includes 50 items that were developed in cooperation with 16 major brand manufacturers. The special point is that they all come in one united color of white/silver or white/gray. The items were chosen based on design balance, function, compact size and cost performance. They are targeted to young, first-time buyers. The coordinator of the project is the designer Hiroki Sakamoto, a member of the NY Art Directors Club. The series will be available in Kojima shops and through mail order starting January 14.
