    Mind-Reading Music Player

Disney, ever on the prowl for new ideas even if it has to spend billions to buy them, has filed a patent for a media player that monitors your mood and then picks out songs accordingly. As this player suggests a video or song for you, you accept or reject that pick, and then the player learns from that, too. It will do this magic, according to the patent filing, with a wrist band that works like a lie detector. The thing takes note of your body temperature, and if you're sweating and your pulse is racing it's going to dredge up some pretty tense music to go along with that. Or perhaps it will try to calm you down with some trance tracks. Maybe Steve Jobs, as soon as he takes total control over Disney, will incorporate this idea into future iPods.
