Liquid water is so 1999. LG has unveiled America's first steam laundering system. It features a "steam generator"—also-known-as a water heater. The steam is then projected into the large 4 cubic foot wash tub. There are also combination cycles that provide both steam and water.

What makes steam so great? It is able to clean fabrics better by getting deeper into the cloth. This washer comes with a matching dryer and even a wireless remote-laundering device that we mentioned earlier this year. Steam is pretty pricey though, this washer will run upwards of $1,500.
