Casio Exilim EX-Z1000

The Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 is ultracompact but it's stoked with 10.1 megapixels along with a 2.8-inch LCD viewfinder. It also has a 3x optical zoom and digital image stabilization, and can shoot JPEG movies at 25 frames per second.

The company claims the camera is capable of zooming between 4.3x and 17.1x with no reduction in image quality. Yeah, right. That spec-zaggeration aside, the little camera packs a powerful punch for its form factor that's just 3.2 inches wide and ¾-inch thick. Available in June for $400.
