    Acer AL2216Wbd 22-Incher, Now $399

    We were already impressed with Acer's AL2216Wbd 22-inch LCD display last month when it was announced at a price of around $600. Now the plot thickens, and we're told this 1680x1050 dual-DVI widescreen will be shipping throughout North America for $399.

    Acer quotes a 5ms response time and a 700:1 contrast ratio, and if it can actually hit anywhere near those numbers, this will be the best value in LCD displays we've seen yet. – Charlie White
