    Million-Dollar Fishing Lure

We've heard about diamond-encrusted earphones, a million-dollar cellphone spangled with glitter, an MP3 player of diamonds and gold and even a Kodak V570 digital camera festooned with $20,000 worth of shiny rocks. But this one takes the cake, the million-dollar fishing lure from MacDaddy's Fishing Lures. It's made of three pounds of gold and platinum, and encrusted with 100 carats of diamonds and rubies—4753 stones in all. It's over a foot long, and is designed for big-game fishermen who are looking to hook the next Moby Dick. Or something.

It's easy for us to figure out what is actually being lured here: profligate suckers with more money than brains. C'mon, give that money to the Steve and Laurene Jobs Foundation. Oh, wait, there's no such thing.
