LaCie's 500GB Porsche Designed Hard Drives

Designed by Porsche Design GmbH, the LaCie hard drives come in 160GB to 500GB sizes and connect via USB 2.0 or Firewire to your Windows, Mac and Linux machines. Although not much to look at, which is surprising since it's designed by Porsche, it does ship with 1-Click backup software for PCs and Macs.

The USB versions are $10 to $30 cheaper than the Firewire versions, so keep that in mind if you need a Firewire one for your older Mac. The 160GB is $99, 250GB is $129, 320GB is $159, and the 500GB is $249. But honestly, you'd think Porsche designers could come up with something better than a brushed-metal brick.
