    Maxfield has a track record of some sexy MP3 players - a dark, brooding style that we'll probably see from Apple when Jobs goes emo. Are black mock turtles emo?

    Their new MAX-IVY is their newest flash MP3 player coming in sized up to 4GB. Just a bit thicker than the Nano, the IVY supports DRM 10 and all your favorite music subscription services. It also taunts the iPod with the potential of voice recording while reading lyric files. What we like more is its tough magnesium casing and touch buttons that still manage to make us feel like we're in the future. But what is with that plug on the bottom? No word (can't find) pricing yet. – Mark Wilson
