The Flower Lamp was made with the goal in increase energy awareness. When household energy consumption has been low for a period of time, the lamp blooms - a reward for good eco behavior.

Produced by Static!, a design studio, it's unlikely the Flower Lamp will ever make it to mass production. But all the same, the idea that machines reward us with self-beautification for good behavior is an interesting concept. If implemented in cars, houses, etc., an entirely new social hierarchy could be born, where the eco friendly consumer would be the only consumer with the stylish tech. – Mark Wilson
