Word on the street yesterday was that Apple's iTunes Store's sales plummeted during the first half of 2006. Today Apple claims that that is "simply incorrect," but still refuses to actually reveal how much money iTunes makes. Apple supposedly made a profit for the three months since September, but the financial research company that first called shenanigans on Apple's numbers says there's not a whole not of room for profit, what with all the credit card transaction fees and everything. Isn't it great when companies squabble?
