It being Christmas Eve, it's pretty cold and even snowy in many parts of the country. That's why I'd like to present to you a video that'll make you pine for the warm sun of summer. A bunch of people created giant slip-and-slides that ended with big jumps pointed towards a lake. What resulted looks like so much fun I can't adequately put it into words. Sure, a few people in this video undoubtedly ended up with seriously red bellies after their jumps, but it looks so worth it. As to the folks who organized it, according to the video it was some equity group. The website doesn't even mention any crazy events like this. I'm confused. [YouTube]

We may have to make mandatory sterilization of all who abuse reverse playback into an election issue.
That being said, those were some pretty crazy jumps.
wow that was some Mean air : )
I'm guessing there was a little more fecal bacteria in the water after some of those bigger jumps.
Reminds me of the stuff we do in the snow with our Mad River Rockets ([www.madriverrocket.com]).
I could have totally done without the reverse shots, but overall looks like a blast.
Awesome!
Humans flying through the air is funny. Especially when they flail around.
I saw a video of this a long time ago but it was called the Jackass Movie. ;)
Definitely inspiring though, if you're lucky enough to live near a lake.
I love Lake Powell... you find stuff like this there all the time.
oh man, this looks so awesome
its looks like alot of fun! the bigger jumps look like they are being pulled by a boat speeding away in the water.
With beer, all things are possible.
Lol, the bike part was awesome
:another obligatory bash in addition to the above ones:
whoever showed the -100% speed/reverse motion to the editor/moviemaker/final cut expressional should be slapped.
looks fun as hell though. too bad new england is a clusterfuck of rock walls and mini-mansions
Hmm, I wonder what would happen if you did the same thing in winter, but instead of jumping into water, you landed in a snowbank?
I'll add to the slo-mo/reverse bashing, but I'm going to blame the lame YouTube Flash player for not allowing the viewer to do what is a basic effect with a normal video file. I can't count the number of times I would have liked the option to slow down a video (even frame-by-frame things like crashes), but the crappy format that everyone is using on the web doesn't allow it. So, yeah, shame on the director for forcing the reverse on us here, but shame on YouTube more for cramming Flash further down our throats.
The very last jump, with the two guys, is FUKKIN EPIC.
@DirkusMaximus:
2 guys 1 sled...thas jus gross brosef
Some of those people got some sick air!
The process of natural selection in action.
@NeoPoliticus: I don't see any corpses floating. Hmm, you must be watching a different video than me.
One does not simply slip n slide into Mordor..
there was only one girl riding the slide, seems to me there was room for the OMG i lost my top sequence here
yeah, where were the young hot nubile tittie girls going screamin' and flailin' into the water? THOSE could be slo moed and reversed, esp the big tittie ones, ummmmm, big titties....
@banmojo:Get your mind out of the gutter, man.
@discounteggroll: True, but even if the McMansions suck, the rock walls are hella-fun for rock climbing. Plus, I'm gonna guess that you aren't from granite country in New England. The old quarries are FANTASTIC for stupid stunts once they fill up with water. Heck, we loose 3 or 4 kids a year to 'em! What fun!
The use of ping-pong editing should be punishable with a kick in the nuts of the editor every time someone *watches* the video.
