Panasonic finally raised the curtain on their 150-inch Plasma, and its a beauty. Panasonic did a good job of keeping the TV under wraps until now. Once the curtain dropped, the photographers flocked and the plasma was drowned in flashes. It's amazing how much more immersive the plasma is even compared to Panasonic's 103-inch TV. Movie theaters should start to worry. Check out the video and gallery of the 4096x2160 resolution display and prepare to drool like we did at first glance.

Sweet mother of god, that tv is freaking gigantic.
When does Chen put it down his pants?
TV might just be better than real life!
Forget Chen, I wanna pants that thing myself. Damn! Me want it bad.
Everybody tries to say my fscination with large trucks is some sort of compensation for some short comings. I'm thinking the same thing about people who go nuts over these damn TVs. There is no reason to have a TV this big.
I see a stuck pixel over there! ;-)
@Jaymez: Are you sure you love gadgets? To me this is a huge achievement that should be celebrated.
@BLAKELEY:I don't think it would fit.
yawn, wheres the Oled. Oh thats right, Their to easy to make, so no one will ever have them.
My god.... Me so horny! Me love you long time!
WOW. This is what I call NSFW. As Clark W Grizwold would say. "I gotta go to the bathroom"
@ugadawg: Yes, I'm sure I love gadgets. Video games and TVs simply don't impress me. It's why I still ahve a 27" RCA Console TV that's 30 years old. It works like a champ.
Whoa...! @tripdragon: LOL, unfortunately your right.
I'd love to see a reference pic of a standard /HD NFL game with the bald guy next to the screen for reference to see the size of the players.
Adult entertainment would be a bit gynecological methinks.
First thing you do with any new monitor is watch pr0n.
I agree with Jaymez. What's the big deal about this TV? Just take 4 75"-something plasmas and put it together.
Besides, if I want a bigger screen I'll just sit up closer to my TV. ;)
@HeyBeav: Just imagine a couple making a sex tape and then sitting down to watch it on this TV. Wifey walks by the camera, real close, to fill the shot. Now her ass is 150" thanks to this Giant tv.
Of course, the guy would be thrilled to see his cock fill that screen.
I think TVs this big are a great thing - while I don't think I'll ever afford a house that can accomodate a 150" screen - it is the trickle down I look forward to. 150" is too big but 60-65" is too small. I'm hoping to see some 80" screens that are not too far from the 70" price range. The 150" price range is out of many of our reach but an 80" is something I think a lot of people would consider if you remember that 40" plasmas went for about 20K when they came out.
If a giant tv falls on you and there is no-one around to hear you, does it still kill you?
Damn! 4000x2000?! Thats an 8 MP image! It better be able to upscale!
So, is this Mark Cuban's personal set, or is he going to let someone else have first dibs this year?
Being a photographer, videographer and documentarian, a screen this big connected to an amazing sound system is how I want to watch my movies or show off my pictures.
Oh nos, I broke it with my wii-mote.... eep!
Get in my PANTS!
YES! we WILL be seeing affordable wall size direct view high contrast displays within a decade! Make it so!
...or just buy a friggin' projector, man. <5k
@Jaymez: Amen! This is just another way for men to overcompensate. Specifically, the men running Panasonic. As it was pointed out by the editors, this is just another round of the "mine is bigger than yours" race.
Me has a wall, check that- that is the wall in my dream house.
One would probably need shades to watch that baby in a dark room.
I get motion sick watching a 106" projected screen. This thing is like insta puke.
A 150" at 15 feet is no different from a 32" at 4 feet (about the distance where you start to see pixellation with the highest res ones).
The only thing that changes is how many people can enjoy the experience with you.
I think you meant "raised the curtain"...not "dropped the curtain."
In any event...I want one.
@Jaymez
I support efficiency, green production technologies, carbon credits, etc, and I want to hate this monstrous expensive overkill TV. But dude, I don't think the size of your willy comes into account here; its a gigantic, wall sized TV that your never going to have so you can spout that fountain of negativity you've got going there, but DAMN that is one thing I would love to have, and who wouldn't if they could. To reiterate, this thing is probably just jaw dropping in person, so I don't think the interweb could do it justice
Think of the cost to ship that beast, plus how the frick do get it inside your house without tearing down a wall?
