Remember that 62-formats-in-1 card reader for your desktop PC from last week? Old Hat. Check it out: an extra three formats, including SDHC, are apparently readable by this little number, though we're still at a loss as to what they all are. The next edition will also read your mind and your future in tea leaves. Oh look, there's a MacBook Air on that Earl Grey! [Akihabara news]

Cr*p...my new HP quad core computer just came with a native 15-in-one reader (part of the cabinet, un-removeable)...
...and they have a 65-in-1 now?
@JoOngle:
So...just what is that 16th format you'd like to read?
@JoOngle: Relax. The other 50 include such formats as 8 Track, Cassette, Vinyl, Reel to Reel, Vacuum Tube, Transister and Abacus.
Doesn't look like any of those cards will be terribly well supported physically, so try not to bump into them while they're inserted.
Apparently it can read, aside from the normal formats, the following: dreams, Skittles, palms, highway signs, the breath of the dying, chicken bones, Nordic runes, and newspapers.
Until it can read Atari 2600 cartridges, I ain't buyin' it.
Does anyone know if this would be plausible to somehow connect as an external enclosure via USB / Firewire so that I could use this on my MacPro?
but this one doesn't have sata or esata!
BTW if you notice the card reader is slanted to the right but you can still see the back of the CF card slot like you where looking right at it. Same with the usb also.
I keep looking at these things, then I realize that I really only need SD/SDHC. I don't own anything in any other format, and if I ever do, I can get a reader for it then.
aren't SD and SDHC physically the same thing? I'm not sure why the old 62-in-1 reader wouldn't be able to read SDHC without a simple driver update (or firmware maybe?)
it is hardware based.
@rainfever: Read up on the subject.
They are different internally.
No different than what we went through with Memory Sticks a few years back.
LOL
This is probably "reads MMC 4gig, MMC 8gig, MMC 16gig, .......
No SATA no care
