Nurses and Doctors rejoice: you can now buy Crocs for your cellphone! Ok, so the Crocs "O-Dial" [sic] is actually a shoe-themed cellphone holster, but it is official. Why your phone would enjoy the lightness, comfiness... um, waterproofness and stain-proofness of those lovely rubbery, resinous shoes is another matter, though. Oh — its got raised inside surfaces to protect device screens, and an adapter so you can use it to store credit cards? Ah yes, we understand now. It's a marketing thing. And yet, cunning Giz reader, what better uses could you put your croc holsters to?
Available now in black, silver, red, grape, fuchsia, celery (celery? really?), cotton candy and turquoise for around $14. Please don't you go attaching any of those plug-in charm things will you? [Pocket lint]

Could we post this one more time?
C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!
lol MORE REPOSTS PLEASE.
Crocs: ugliest shoes ever. Now making your phone ugly too.
Can't get enough of the crocs today
I love that the posts keep changing order...
Which one do I post in? Oh wait this sucks, I won't post in either...
toooo late!
@DocGratis: Sorry, technical crunch there. Blame the Crocs. :)
seriously. boycott. please.
stop the proliferation of smooshy-foam ugly.
Ha!
Now what clever thing did I say on the last Croc cell phone holder post.......
Oh yeah, something about Mario Batali being the only one that would buy one of these things.
It was funnier in the first post. I think.
You had to be there. That first Croc post was way better.
Crocs are an abomination.
If any friends/acquaintances of mine wear them, they automatically lose 50 Friend-points and aren't getting a Christmas card this year.
Do not pass GO, do not collect $200.
Tool holster.
Why exactly does this say Doctors and nurses rejoice? How exactly would anyone in medicine get away with wearing 99% of their shoes? They have holes in them. Which can lead to certain substances getting on them, which you would not want in your socks.
There are regulations that prohibit open toed or exposed footwear in hospitals, like you would need to be told this...
'Gix' reader?
As for uses for this thing, mobile bird seed or fertilizer dispenser.
anyone seriously using these needs to be kicked in the groin
These things are the jellies of the new millennium!
They are apparently very comfortable but so are sweatpants and just like sweatpants they should never be worn in public.
Fat chefs everywhere rejoice.
@DocGratis: Ahhh..therein is the problem. They have closed toes, and holes throughout. This means that only females can get away with wearing them in the workplace ;-)
Seriously, I've only seen women wearing these shoes in public - mainly nurses at the Hospital. At my workplace, though, yes, only females can wear them.
gross. now your phone can look like a douche too
i just threw up in my mouth a little.
Another use for them would be target practice. Again, ugliest shoes ever.
These have been around for a while. You guys just now noticing, or is it a slow news day?
Crocs are seriously fugly, no doubt about it, but they're a lot cheaper than podiatrist visits and special orthotics for plantar fasciitis. Besides, the Sahalie catalog has 'em in somewhat better looking styles.
Do they make your phone stank?
From the picture, I thought they were backpacks.
I'm holding out for the croc condoms.
I can't believe noone likes these things! I love my crocs, too bad my phone won't fit in one of these holsters...though it would make a good place to put emergency post-it notes.
I wouldn't wear the shoes, what makes you think I'd want my phone to wear them?
as a proud gix reader (nice typo, kit) and crocs wearer (only in the summer while kayaking, i promise), this looks slightly cool.
@Mikael: Ouch...
So do these mobile phone crocs make your phone smell like feet, just like how wearing crocs make your feet smell from wearing them?
Jars are so SNES, I store my resurrection fairies in style!
Yeah, oddly, these were only of the only items left on the shelves at my local CompUSA... these and a couple HP laptops with no keys. But the laptop had a couple people interested...
