Continuing our obsession with recapturing the worst of the '80s in wristwatch form, these new Casio G-Shocks are more than a little fantastic. Aside from their classic G-Shock form, a solar panel under the face constantly recharges the watch so it's ready to automatically illuminate whenever you check the time.
Our friends over at Homotron disagree with our love for everything '80s and Casio. But as we've told them once before, that just leaves more fun for us, baby! [Casio via crunchgear]

I remember when G-Shocks were the 'in' thing during the mid to late 90s. Big, bulky, and gray...I always wanted one.
I'm down!
Not me man.
Gimme my Armitron Data Bank watch.
I kind of like the green one. I also my current G-shock though. I upgraded when my Timex just wasn't cutting it anymore, and the tech dept wanted ~$10 + my watch for two weeks + shipping for one screw.
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy.
And not in the quaint homosexual way; the dumb/idiotic/stupid way.
@strider_mt2k: actually, the Data Bank was and still is a Casio product!
$120???? they can keep it!
I have three G-shocks, all accumulated over time. I'm glad to see that they've gone back to the simplified 1st generation display layout. For a period of time they had this awful "flashing circle" thing going on that made reading the watch function a real PITA.
I loves my GShock. [As I have all my previous Casios.]
But I gotta go with the classic black...
Also, do these auto update like my current Casio?
I'll just keep my classic Casio F105W-1A (had to look the model up). I have been wearing the same design for well over 10 years now, and I don't see myself changing designs anytime soon.
Casio watches are da shit. They always have been.
Outstanding, no black is wrong though. Carried one of the 1988 black one's all over SE asia. Bring the black one back you goobs!
painfully retro.
I have 2 G-Shocks from my college days, but don't wear them anymore because they're just waaaaay too big for my skinny little wrist. Dammit, when will Casio make a G-Shock for women that doesn't make my wrist look butch?
me wants one
Casio apparently loves Mexico too...or Italy.
totally lickable
I'm all about the Accutron Spaceview tuning fork watch from the 60s baby...
@dangster: Sort of a late reply, but have you checked out any of Casio's Baby-G watches? They're meant for smaller wrists, and they tend to be a little more colorful and stylish to boot. :)
