SlingPlayer TV-on-Cellphone Coming For Symbian UIQ This Summer

Just as Sling announced a few weeks ago, their Slingplayer cellphone player is getting added support for Symbian UIQ devices this summer. Among the sets being supported are the Sony Ericsson P1i, P990i, W960i, W950i and M600i, along with Moto's MOTORIZR Z8. You'll be able to see it in person at CTIA coming up next week, but won't be able to stream episodes of Lost on it until summer—but by then the TV season would already be over. [Slingplayer]

  • I have never understood why anyone would watch TV on their phone. Okay, with the exception of those who ride the bus. But besides that, there are hardly any times where I'm alone, can alocate twenty five minutes to watch a show and not at home.

Okay, Robot Chicken on a cellphone might be alright.

That's my favorite football team, Red.

  • Compatibility with networks (i.e. Flash and Silverlight) that stream over the internet would be better. The entire series of south park in my pocket? Yes please.
