In what appears to be the endless spread of Firefox, a new addition to the unofficial Firefox catalog has been spotted—in India. On the back of a bus. We're guessing the bus doesn't have on board Wi-Fi to make use of its web browser of choice, but we admire the support. Also, if that text in yellow above the artwork doesn't read "Safari and IE blow", well, then we'll eat our cats...I'm seriously mixing up my modern proverbs this weekend. Dammit. [Neatorama]

I'm counting "Dammit" words in your posts sir.
Cat Dinner for you then, the yellow words are towns on the bus route in west india.
@pellier: you'll get banned dont use the word "first" its Taboo...
@pellier: ugh... noob.....
Your choice of using a modern proverb like mass eating your cats, instead of googling "the text in yellow" may cause PETA to launch a nuclear media attack on Giz! Your playing with fire my friend!
@Haroon Malik:i want a video of you eat your cat!!those yellow words are names of places belive it or not!
Is that bus hovering? If so, we need more H-1B visas to get those engineers over here.
Are those little green balls bookmarks or java applets?
am I really the first to say fake,look at the ladder
@Amiash: Dammit!
Doesn't have wi-fi but it looks like it's got Turbo!!!
Spaceboy...yes you are first and yes you are incorrect. I swear I first saw this back in 2006 on Gizmodo itself. Maybe during the launch of Firefox 2.0? Probably digg. http://digg.com/tech_news/The_Firefox_Bus/who
FYI, the yellow text are the names of cities / bus stops.
"Also, if that text in yellow above the artwork doesn't read "Safari and IE blow", well, then we'll eat our cats.."
my girlfriend says giz is getting really stupid, I agree, I understand you are trying to make a joke there, but seriously those are city names (know you are edu'macation), there is no sentence structure there. Next post better be about eating your cats...
I am working on my photoshop of a pengiun tattooed to a camels ass, and I expect Giz to post it as soon as figure out how to do it.
(Please, Jesus, I need your guidance.)
@misplacedparadox: The yellow text is obvious the names of the Firefox Bus Tour in India...duh :P
It looks like the bus is in too good shape to be real. Every single taxi and bus I've seen there was dented and rusty as hell...
@rockyhead...looks like it has been some time you have been to India...
Anyways, the yellow text is names of cities in south India, specifically, a state with the name of Karnataka...
Chitradurga is famous for a massive fort by the same name. Nearby can be found the archaeological dig of Ashoka Siddapura, where some of the emperor Ashoka's writings were found. Looks like a good trip!
I don't know if an Indian passenger bus (complete with rear "bonus" passenger ladders) would be considered the best advertising platform to sub-consciously illustrate the speed and reliability of a web browser....
is the ticket free too?
Man, I want to ride on the BS II Turbo! That sounds way too awesome to be just some old bus. :(
OLD news. Must be a slow Monday!
