HandHeldItems has black iSolate noise-isolating earphones on sale for $6.99, a savings of $44 according to the site. As an added bonus, they come with a plastic fish to wrap the earphones around when not in use. Sure you can go for much more expensive (and proven) options, but for $7, what do you have to lose? Get 'em while you can; they're already 91% sold out. [product page via Crave]

first!!
Kewl.
these look a lot better than my earbuds for my ipod, probably dont sound as good as my boses though...
@nonreligious pope:
*Facepalm*
wait let me rephrase that..
Zuerst B**ches!!
Well, I just placed the order. I'll cross my appendages and hope for the best. It will hopefully be the best appetizer-priced purchase I've ever made.
sorry i couldn't resist.
Oh well.
"Ich hoff, dal sie mir verzeihen".
Just because earphones advertise themselves as "noise-isolating" doesn't mean there's anything special to their technology. A wad of chewing gum wedged into each ear can be called "noise-isolating" (and possibly sound more musical than $7 earphones.)
I wouldn't bother with these. The range on these are terrible with no bass. Consider yourself warned!
@nonreligious pope: Shut up and go back to engadget.
cool, bought a pair... $8 (with shipping) is 2 cups of coffee *shrugs*.
@nocode: I'm going to guess that it's the headphone, but it must be said ...
Seeing that they are in-ear, are they sealing properly? No seal = no bass :)
(says the guy who grabbed a handful of those little foam bits at some loud site and cut them into earpieces for his earphones)
Crap I was late :(
@Collins1: Seconded.

@nonreligious pope: I beleive this image relates to you.
I received a pair of Creative Labs noise-isolating ear buds with my laptop and I was amazed at well they worked. Can't speak for these though.
My gut instinct was to rush and buy the earphones... Then I realized just an hour ago I was fishing through a bag of random old (but working) headphones and earphones I've collected over the past decade or so...
they are now 9.99 before shipping..
I just want the fish for my current senheisers.
@auslander: try dealextreme.com
better deal

I got a five-pack of the fish at DealExtreme. They're great.
Looking at resellerratings.com, I get some pretty bad reviews for the company selling these.
"I order regularly on-line and this is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with, never recieved item and they lied to me when they stated another item would be sent out right away. Over a month and still no item and they said I have to call the post office to find out what happened? You gotta be kidding me? Stay away from this company and look elsewhere."

i don't like handhelditems' design
@nonreligious pope:
Welcome to the gizmodo family, you are now banned.
The Bizrate have lots reviews on this company. lots pretty good ones and some bad ones.
"Very satisfied."
maybe give it a try
i finally got these and they sound pretty crappy. changing the rubber gaskets are a pain. and the bloody things POP out of your ear. and even if you do get it in your canals it still feels like air's still going in your ear, seeing there's a big hole for the bass. there's no bass, the highs accumulate almost into nasty feedback and it sounds like a horrible surround sound effect. a $3 pair of coby earphones that i broke two days after buying it sounded better than these things. great job gizmodo. you made me waste 6 dollars on a black fishbone cable management dealy.
