Gadget Blogging From the Wilds and Not-So-Wilds

Hey, my friends Joel J. from BBoing and Steve "I look like a Conchord" Leckart from Cool Tools are blogging and doing trial-by-fire test runs of gadgets in the wild. Joel is in Bear Mountain, NY, and Steve is pretending to be somewhere but actually in his office. (I hope he is setting up a tent in his living room at least.) They've got solar and kinetic battery chargers, and have had some challenges, but have been pretty successful at using cellular connections and battery sipping devices. I'm happy enough to leave this sort of testing to them as I sit by the door awaiting Mario Kart eating pizza. [Steve at DVice and Joel]
