After rumors of an extreme price-drop and black glossy appearance, new details about the iPhone 3G keep dripping like Princess Peach's bathroom faucet: a New York-based TV station has got exclusive details, pointing out in its news ticker that Apple's wonderphone will feature "unlimited movie downloads." The channel's rumor record is practically flawless, as demonstrated by their prediction on the extension of the Iron Man trailer into a full-length movie. Full video after the jump.
Apparently, the news ticker also pointed out that the new iPhone will have a 37-foot screen, but an official channel representative has confirmed to us that this was just a typo: "I think the guys from the news ticker really meant 3.7 inches," the TV station's night janitor said on a phone interview.
In relation to these breaking news, Jason Chen—Gizmodo's senior associate editor—pointed out that he didn't want to be disturbed while he was playing GTA IV. "Frack off!" he declared. [The Onion]

This some incredible satire. Simply incredible.
La Cebolla es el diablo!
Ok. How do you make a typo between the word "foot" and "inches"?
its only been a couple of hours since I put the controller down from GTA4 and I am already feeling withdrawal symptoms.
I can't believe I got suckered into watching that. There's several minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Yeah, not an easy typo to create, feet, inches??? hello..
I still want a huge 37ft iPhone to put on my Warehouse wall and make calls over the office sound system.
Coverflow would be cool at 37ft!!
Faslane, ahhh the typos are always fun.
You know.. I think that GTA has too many cinematics. After booting it up it is seriously like 20 minutes before you even touch the remote. I played for 2 or 3 hours last night and MOST of it was watching cinematics. So in response to the Jason Chen comment above.. I had no problem putting down the remote and going to bed.
you could try and get a 37 foot screen w/ this thing.

@faslane: @ripfire4:
You guys must be some kind of vapid to think "news" from the Onion is serious...
@ripfire4:
How do you confuse "the Onion" with "news"?
@ripfire4: You mean it can't be a typo? They got it wrong?
@badweasel:
at least I didn't get rick rolled watching the cinematics. It was painful at times however, I definitely agree with you on that
I got a spam email today offering a pink iPhone for Mother's Day -- complete with pink pictures. Don't know if it was real or not.
Onion is great.
You guys are all Apple fanboys.
There, I said it.
What resolution would the 37' screen support?
Best foot, inches mix up since Spinal Tap.
have the gawker network been swolled by gta?
cause, almost every single site is talking something, or has atleast a comment on the matter, rockstar must be paying big bucks, can you guys hire me?
all i need is an apartment anywhere you need me, a plane ticket from brasil, and the right forms so i can get a working visa =)
Hey come on. I'm just sayin...
There's also the fact the guy kept on saying nfl instead of nhl through the whole video. I think I could be hired by the ONN for anchoring there's a lot of errors in there.
@spacecadetdavsot: You obviously missed out on the joke. Watch the damned video again, maybe you'll get it this time....
NHL to NFL was the joke...

It was a good video, except for the fact that most of those clips had "Ovechkin" in Toronto Maple Leafs sweater. As a Caps fan, I am proud to have had Ovechkin on the team for his NHL career to date, and the fact that he signed a 13-year 124 million dollar deal means that we'll have him for a while. I bet Toronto would LIKE to have him, but that's simply not the case. Even with it being The Onion, I'm disappointed that they didn't get the video clips right.
this cant be fo realz
@DanyBrancho: It's not.
I don't even see why Onion News is posted here.
