Fear not Gizmodo reader, for your compatriot Robert Woodhead has delivered once again! This time around: eggs getting obliterated by a potato gun. Genius! [Robert Woodhead]

I think the coolest part was at the VERY end when the ball just balls out and the egg seems to float when the support pops away for a sec...
If someone can do one of these videos with a gun being fired, that would be awesome.
All this food spent with hispeed cameras could feed a country!
i love these videos so much. If only 1200fps became more affordable for me.
Mmmmm....potatoes and eggs.
when to expect Casio EX-F1 in porn?
cum shots in 1200 FPS...
Can I have one of those for my little brother in case Humty Dumpty comes around?
Attack of the Albu-men!
I think someone needs to make a video of himself sneezing while holding his eyes open, like Adam on Mythbusters. That was funny.
I had no idea that I needed a slo-mo camera until I started seeing this footage on Gizmodo. Pure awesome.
This DEFINATELY needs to be a feature on Gizmodo. Maybe even a contest, once in a while :) Definitely a feature, fo-sho. As they say.
Ummm . . . on behalf of eggs everywhere, both literal and figurative, I find this video offensive and sick. The violence has got to stop . . . so we can make breakfast tacos.
wow. There are no words to describe how incredibly awesome this is.
Is there anything that does not look way cooler in slow mo?
Except maybe a fat guy in a speedo running through the surf...
Never mind, bad idea.
@kOtic: The average speed of a rifle round is about 1000 m/s... thats about a meter per frame, I don't think this camera is fast enough for you to see the bullet.
@loudambiance: Bullet at 24,000 fps [video.google.com]
I'm a chicken and I take great offense to this video.
yeah.. potatoes cannot support 1200 fps and remain intact.. 120 fps?
wooooow, the last one is awesome.
floating egg.
@strider_mt2k: No, it's just a bunch of yolkels
So how does this thing work? Mentos? Deodorant spray? Weebles?
is the image compression really bad on this video or does this thing really take video at lower res than i can get with my camera phone? don't get me wrong, the slo-mo is cool, but this doesn't really serve any professional or even prosumer level need at this level of quality.
So when & where do we sign up for the X-rated sessions?? I'd be willing to pay for such things......
The Exilim has 3 high-speed modes, 300, 600, and 1200 frames per second. The faster you go, the smaller the image area. At 300fps you get a little less than standard-def video resolution.
The camera also has a nifty sports mode where it continuously takes full 6mp images into its buffer at 60 images per second, and when you actually press the trigger, it saves the last 60 images, helping you get the perfect action shot. And it does HD video recording at standard rates.
It's not for everyone, but there's nothing like it in the price range.
@TOWken22: (scrambles for cover)
Slow motion destruction.
@Curves: Didn't Dave Chappell do a bit on what does/doesn't look good in slow mo?
@twobighands: It takes video at really low resolution. I totally agree with you and have ever since Giz first announced this camera. I kind of got jumped on for ragging on it, but I really don't see the point until the technology's a little more refined, and the video's at a more usable size.
I work in video, and something like this would be great...except we don't have a lot of use for youtube-size content.
yea but who cares if you can make such amazing videos!! not that i would pay for it....
