Dust-proof and showerproof—although, despite the shower head-keyboard bunk-up in the picture, apparently not waterproof—this plastic laptop cover from Thanko is a glorified freezer bag. Available in A4 and B5 sizes, it is the plastic sofa cover of portable device accessories. Cost is around $20, and I suggest using Cling-film instead. [Thanko via Akihabara News]

Seems like it could be irritating.
You'd probably need it to be waterproof so you could dunk it in ice-water to keep it cool...
I can't think of a faster way to make a computer overheat than putting it in a plastic bag.
Uhuh. How long till the plastic melts to the laptop due to all the heat build up?
I am not buying anything the advertising of which is Photoshopped by a three year old.
This would help protect your laptop from viruses. Like herpes.
Apart from the obvious heating issues, would the touchpad still work?
@Reiji: maybe putting in some Sony batteries?
Is it spooge-proof?
SO now all those nice lithium batteries that overheat and explode can do so much faster with friggin chernobyl on my lap. I'd assume that close all ventilation like that will create a mini oven. Best case scenario the bag melts to your skin and all the blue smoke that makes your PC work will escape its parts. WOrst case your new laptop frag grenade explodes battery first horribly disfiguring you.
Oh, that's a shower head! I thought it was a chrome-covered telephone handset being pulled away from the lappy with rubber cement goop in between. No thank you, Thanko.
where is Brando design when you need them?
@Reiji: light it on fire?
