Remember that PSP Skype headset with the remote control that was announced way back in January? It's now available. Skype functionality has been added in the 3.90 firmware update (also back in January), but if you haven't updated yet, you'll have to do so, and then follow these instructions to make calls. [Amazon]

@xint: thanks great links
skype isnt enough to make me replace my 1st gen psp. cool though.
too bad Skype doesn't work on my fatty psp :(
I've been using skype on my psp for about a month now and it works great. Free the phone lines!
@xint: word.
*yeah I said word.
@flyboy: Agreed! I definitely will check out these headsets. They don't look to shabby either.
Took long enough... Oh well. Skyp, here I come.
Screw you, Sony. After Skype came out, I went out and bought the PSP headset, thinking it'd be all I needed for Skype. But then I plug it into my PSP and the mic didn't work because I didn't have the remote. So then I bought the first remote I found (3rd party) and... didn't work!
Then I found [www.dealextreme.com] which is basically the same kit, without the clippy earphones. But since I have Sony's clippy earphones, it'll probably be the exact same thingy.
So they just repackaged 2 accesories that have been available and working with skype, raised the price, and released them months after skype came out? awesome
