    TiV-o'-lantern Scares the Commercials Away

    The specific story varies, but as legend has it, the original Jack-o'-Lantern came about as a punishment after a crafty gent named Jack played a trick on the Devil. We don't know if TiVo was trapped after their similar stunt, giving man a way to skip past pesky commercials before advertisers sealed the company's soul in a pumpkin, but it sure makes for a spooky bedtime story.
