Just How Small Is the 3rd Generation iPod Shuffle?

Apple's new iPod Shuffle is supposed to be the "world's smallest music player." So what's that mean, really? How do Apple's minuscule measurements size up in real dimensions?

We compared a pack of cards, matchbox, the 2nd gen iPod Shuffle and the new iPod Shuffle (in that order) to give you a better idea. You'll notice that while the new Shuffle is taller than the old Shuffle, repositioning those controls to the headphones bought a lot of space in every other way. We're also guessing that the new clip has been streamlined a bit to make the svelte 1.8x0.7x0.3-inch body possible. [Sizeeasy]
