LA radio station KCRW is great because they're hellbent on keeping independent radio alive. So we were ecstatic when they said they'd have Morning Becomes Eclectic host Jason Bentley come by Giz Gallery '09 spin a live DJ set.
In addition to serving as KCRW's musical director, Bentley is the musical supervisor for numerous TV shows, and his playlist from KCRW's Eclectic24 channel will play at the gallery all week. On Saturday the 26th, Bentley will be the first DJ in the nation playing a show on the freshly-announced Pioneer CDJ-2000s. This free show starts at 9pm and it's open to the public. If you ever had dreams of attending a (semi-) normal party where the place was full of nothing but outlandish gadgets, this may be one of your few chances.
Doors will open at 9, and Bentley's set will begin shortly after. Everyone is welcome on a first come, first serve basis until the gallery space reaches capacity. And if you can't make the party, you should stop in any other time during the week and check out the the Giant 103-inch Plasma, or gain 10 pounds courtesy of the ChefStack pancake maker.
