Art Intern Wanted

Hello college students. Artsy ones. It's summer, that most magical of seasons. You want an awesome art internship with a website you love. We have one.

We're pretty demanding of our interns, but in turn, you will learn a lot about this whole professional blogging enterprise. So, the ideal candidate is a college student or recent graduate who's looking at starting a career in media—focusing on graphic design or illustration—but is pretty geeky too. Unlike our other internships, you don't need to be in NY or SF.

The basic essentials:
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge of Apple Numbers
• Speed—things happen fast here, so you need to be fast too
• Samples of your work (obviously, you need to be good)
• Dedication—it's fun, and definitely educational, but it's definitely not easy
• To be over 18

Essentially, you'll be learning the basics of graphic and illustration for gadget blogging, which, as it turns out, is pretty valuable knowledge in this crazy media environment. And very probably, having some fun amidst learning new euphemisms for genitalia and all of the "go go go faster faster faster" pace of blogging. Oh, there is a (very) small stipend, too.

So, if you think that sounds like your ideal summer art internship, send an email to iwannabeanintern@gizmodo.com with the subject "Art Intern." No attachments. Seriously. Unless you're just testing how fast we'll delete your email. (Very!)

We really look forward to hearing from you, and seeing what you've got.
