Paperjamz Are Playable Guitars Made From Paper

Made out of paper (yes, the stuff from dead trees—I wouldn't lie to you), these WowWee Paperjamz guitars plug into speakers or headphones and let you play actual chords (accompanied by backing tracks).

Five different styles of guitar are available, with the Stratocaster offering 'What I Like About You', 'Two Princes' and 'End Of The World'; the Telecaster has 'Born To Be Wild', 'Mississippi Queen' and 'Smoke On The Water'; the Flying V has 'You Really Got Me', 'Blitzkrieg Bop' and 'Godzilla'; the Explorer has 'Hey There Delilah', 'All Star' and 'Helicopter' and the SG-style guitar has 'Woman', 'Rock Star' and 'Take It To The Limit'.

The guitars don't have strings, instead they have three ways to use them—the first being the easiest, where you just strum along to the songs. The second way, "rhythm mode" involves a degree of talent, where you have to strum along to the rhythm of the songs, controlling each song played. The third and trickiest of all is where you freestyle, actually making up notes and (hopefully) songs as you go along.

They're on sale now at IWOOT.com for £25 / $35 each, and you can also pick up amplifiers and drums—also made out of paper. Just don't do a Pete Townshend and smash it up—imagine the clean-up job. [IWOOT]
