Considering RIM hasn't even announced a new flagship phone yet, they've got a lot of work to do to wrench people away from the claws of the iPhone 4 and Droid X. So, two upcoming phones—one a slider?
The big news from their quarterly financial report was that they've shipped 11.2m phones in the three-month period, a 43 per cent increase on the same period a year ago. In the last few months, they also shipped out their 100 millionth BlackBerry.
With BlackBerry OS 6.0 expected sometime before September, these two new flagship phones will apparently contribute to the summer financial period, which ends in August. Looks like RIM's not out of the summer-upgrade game just yet. [FT and Electronista]
