It's sad but true: the carriers seem to hate us. Why else would they be shutting the lights down on unlimited data plans? T-Mobile has a real opportunity here.

As is often the case, this news isn't confirmed—in fact, we only heard whispers of it thanks to a supposed leaked training document that states: "Please note that a [sic] an unlimited plan for more than 5GB of monthly data use will launch sometime this year."

If T-Mobile makes this gigantic leap forward, would carriers such as AT&T and Verizon respond? I think I'll buy some flying pig-spotting binoculars just in case. [TMO via BGR]
