Product Placement Goes Back in TimeS

It's bad enough that every current television show and movie shoves brand names in your face. Now, networks are digitally inserting new products into old television shows.

Consumerist spotted a magazine emblazoned with an advertisement for the new Kevin James movie Zoo Keeper in a rerun of a 2007 episode of How I Met Your Mother. A movie from 2011 in a 2007 television show! How'd they do it? Turns out there were no books in the original shot. So, look for reruns of M*A*S*H where they log onto Google Plus to check in with their families back in the U.S. while chugging a refreshing Vita Coco coconut water. [Consumerist via Jonathan Zittrain]
