Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 5th District Investigative Section are investigating an apparent flash mob theft that occurred at a 7-Eleven store in Germantown on August 13, 2011 at approximately 1:47 a.m.

According to the police department, at least 28 people appeared at exactly the same time in the store, taking everything they could with them in just a few seconds. Obviously, the store clerk couldn't do anything to stop the flash mob robbers. Police believes that the internet was used to assemble the mob. [YouTube via CNN]
