I always thought that flying around the space shuttle was the most amazing way to watch the launch. After seeing this image of skydivers falling as the
rocket fired through the clouds, I've serious doubts.
Of course, flying a combat jet is awesome on its own right. In any case, what it really surprises me is that a
rocket launches at all with so many people flying and falling around it. [Imgur via Reddit—Thanks Makowb!]
Edited: Apparently it wasn't the shuttle, but a Delta rocket. Still, it's an awesome way to view any launch.
