New Yorkers Are Posting Creepy Cell Phone Pics of Hot Guys on the Subway Online

If you live in a city, chances are you've had a few dozen subway crushes in your life. But you probably haven't snapped off stealthy cell phone pics of hunks on the train and uploaded them to a blog to be rated (we hope).

That's what's beeng going on since June at SubwayCrush, which is the New York offshoot of London-based TubeCrush. Both sites are premised around "admiring hot guys" (no ladies to be found!), and it's certainly refreshing for an objectification site to not just be guys creeping on women all over the place. But still, it's a liiittle troubling to—actually, no. It's not all that troubling at all in the context of the New York subway system.

This past weekend, a friend of mine had some random perv run up behind her, reach under her skirt, and snap off a cell phone pic. Then he ran off into the night, never to be heard from again. That's being violated. Having someone snap your photo while you're sucking down a frappuccino or staring at your Kindle is sort of weird, but if the worst the handsome among us have to deal with is a bunch of guys and gals fawning over PG photos of them, god help them.

Plus! There's a button to request removal of your photo from the site if you reallllly don't want to be fapped to. But really, with all the public masturbation that goes on after dark in those trains, just be glad they took a picture and saved it for later. [SubwayCrush via Village Voice]
