We could spend hours debating which is greater—the fish? the sickness? the fearmongering?—but suffice it to say that there is a salmon virus afoot, and it is taking out orange fish faster than a mama grizzly in a spring thaw. Like most everything else, it's our fault; confinement to fish farms means the virus spreads more rapidly among sockeyes.
