Listening to new music on the iPhone with nice headphones is a wonderfully personal experience. Listening to new music on the iPhone with your friends through the tiny speakers sucks. And the last thing you want is to share your earbuds. That's just gross. The Sprd the Note app will keep your ears disease-free by sharing any DRM-free iTunes-synced tracks between iPhones.
Sprd the Note is like handing a friend a CD single of a song you like, or a track your bluegrass-jazz-death metal fusion band just finished recording. The app utilizes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for real-time sharing of music tracks you have synced to your iPhones. Users import songs they want to share into the app and share with anyone in the immediate area. Sharing via email is available if you're friend is across town. Songs are kept in app until you plug your iPhone into iTunes and move them from the app to your computer. At that point you can add them to your iTunes library.
Okay, people will use this app to share entire albums instead of paying for them. Shame on you! Stealing is bad and it takes food and guitar strings away from artists. On the plus side, if you're in a band and you have a new single you want to share, this is a great way to share your song directly with fans. Of course most of us will use the app to share songs we're really into with friends. If they like the song, hopefully, they'll buy it. If not, they don't have to worry about pulling it out of iTunes later on.S
