Lenovo's Y-Series Laptops Can Handle All Your Multimedia Demands, and Then Some

Lenovo's Y-series laptops aren't flashy by any means, but the Intel Core i7 Processor, NVIDIA GeForce discrete graphics, JBL premium sound and Blu-ray drive make up for the workman-like exterior.

The Y580, specifically comes in 14 and 16-inch sizes, supports up to 8 gigabytes of RAM, and has a 1 terabyte hard drive. There's also the option to add a TV tuner and Intel's wireless display feature to the laptop. The Y580, along with the 14-inch Y480, will both be available in April starting at $900.

Lenovo also introduced their IdeaCentre B540, a 23-inch multitouch all-in-one PC, that supports 3D content and can act independently of the computer as a TV set. The computer comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8 gigs of RAM and a 2 terabyte hard drive. The B540 and its smaller 21.5-inch counterpart—the B340, will both be available in June starting at $700.

Additionally, there are now two new U-series laptops in the form of the updated u310 and u410. These refreshed notebooks still feature Lenovo's aluminum "book" design, but now now come equipped Lenovo's smart update system, which allows you to update internet apps such as your email client or Twitter even when the lid is closed and the computer is in sleep mode. Both the U310 and U410 will be available in May starting at $700. [Lenovo]
