It's unoriginal and primarily limited to Europe at this point, but a new pay-us-or-we'll-shut-you-down malware scheme is afoot, telling users that their IP was associated with child porn or some other such awfulness and locking up your system until you've paid a $80 "fine." Detroit Area Walmart Sells iPad Cases with Legal Pads But No iPads in Them Because Detroit
Two iPad purchasers in the greater Detroit metropolitan area were disappointed to find that the boxes they thought held tablets in them actually held stupid legal pads instead, and now they're having trouble getting their money back.
