The Best Way To Catch Tonight's Orionid Meteor Shower

Tonight—actually very early tomorrow morning—the 2012 Orionid meteor shower is going to reach its peak, lighting up the sky with some shooting stars. You can take your chances outside, but if you want the best view, NASA can hook you up.

Starting at 11pm EDT (and going until 3am), NASA is going to kick off a livechat with astronomer astronomer Mitzi Adams, as well as a livestream from a camera NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. For those of us that live in light-polluted cities, it's a great chance to see a stellar show that would otherwise be practically invisible, and for everyone else, it's a chance to not bother leaving the house. So tune in, that is, if it's not past your bedtime. [NASA via Space]
