Nokia had higher than expected Lumia sales for its fourth quarter thanks to the release of the Lumia 900 last spring and 920 in September. The company sold 4.4 million handsets, up from 2.9 million in Q3.
For perspective, though, Apple sold about 27 million iPhones in the third quarter of 2012, and Nokia is also warning that the first quarter of 2013 doesn't look so hot.
Still, the positive sales trend gives some hope that Nokia has a shot at survival. Well, it's a start. [Nokia]
