The 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro Just Got $200 Cheaper

Apple just cut the price of the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. You can now pick one up for $1,500—$200 less than the original starting price of $1,700.

That means that the basic 13-inch Retina Pro—with 128GB of storage—is now slightly more wallet friendly. For $1,700, the same price as the old entry-level model, you can now get a spec bump providing 256GB of storage and a new, faster 2.6GHz processor.

That's not all! Its bigger brother, the 15-inch Retina Pro, is also getting a shot in the arm: the base, $2,200 model will now feature a 2.4GHz i7 chip, while the top-end $2,800 behemoth will pack a 2.7GHz i7 processor and 16GB of RAM standard.

Finally, the 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB of storage now starts at $1,400.
