The Breakdown of a Fire Hydrant

When I see a fire hydrant, I selfishly hate it because it hogs a perfectly good parking spot. When I see an exploded fire hydrant, I absolutely love it because it's the urban sign for summer. When I see the schematics behind an early 20th century fire hydrant? I'm in awe of how beautiful the breakdown can be.

Let's be honest though. If you break down the parts of any item and put it against blue paper, it's going to look lovely. But it's nice to see the individual parts and thought that makes up a hydrant and ignore the dog piss and painted red lines that taint them. Seeing the schematics is like getting a peek at some sort of IKEA instructions in building a hydrant. Here's another look:
