There are three or four parts of "The Bleeding Heart Show" that are catchy. The beginning, that middle part and don't even get me started on the hey-las at the end. Good stuff. But the best thing about "The Bleeding Heart Show" is the melodica backups.

You don't hear melodica (a wind instrument with a keyboard that controls air flowing over a reed) very often, because a lot of people just use it for music transcription, but its been in a few well known tracks like "Oh Girl" by the Chi-Lites. It gets switched out for harmonica a lot, though. To summarize: melodica is fun and The New Pornographers use it in "The Bleeding Heart Show," which is a great song. Okay, now go listen.
