Ceiva Adds Cameraphone Option to Digital Picture Frames

It's cool that the Ceiva digital picture frames can now receive pictures directly from your camera phone—putting one of these on someone's desk and then entertaining them all day with strange pictures sounds highly fun—but you still have to pay a monthly subscription fee to use the frames, since instead of hooking directly up to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, instead use a modem (!?) to call into Ceiva's networks each night for new pictures. So not only do you have to pay $10 a month just to update the frame, the pictures won't be uploaded to the frame in real time, either. Way to half-ass it, team. (Thanks, Dennis!)
