In a more perfect world, every one of our gadgets would have its own little crystalline tomb to rest in, ensconced and waiting until next we use it, bathed in sterilizing ultraviolet light. Every use of even the most mundane items, like a toothbrush, let's say, would be accompanied by a flash of exploding light and, if we're doing this right, at least a small chorus of warbling synth hallelujahs. Grabbing my toothbrush? Fuck no, sister, I'm wrenching the Master Brush from a 16-bit stone.

I don't know if the Discovery UV & Ozone Toothbrush Purifier will provide this experience to me. In fact, I expect it won't even come close. But we carry the dream inside of us, the dream of holy dental hygiene.
