Google has quietly added an SMS service to its offerings, allowing you to get local business listings, product prices, dictionary definitions, and more just by sending a short message to 46645 (GOOGL). I just tried it and didn't get a response back, but I also have a hard time getting calls in this apartment sometimes, so who knows. Having the power of Google on almost every phone in existence is very appealing.
